Ms Wadsworth works for a variety of clients providing Business Management and Software Development services Points of interest during this time have been World Of Wearable Art. In 2002 the World Of Wearable Arts decided to bring its ticketing operation in house. I am responsible for the software that provides the ticketing for there shows. The software was written in VB 6 and is proving to be robust and reliable. WOW have recently opened their show in Wellington and the software coped with the change without skipping a beat. Foodstuffs Cooperative where I undertook a short term project management role to assist with the role out of a system for some 50 supermarket in the North Island. The application was written in VB 5 and SQL 6.5 with links to a number of other systems. I was taken on after a number of staff departures left little experience in the team. My role involved putting in place development standards and procedures, mentoring the staff and ensuring that the project rolled out without hitches. Nelson Marlborough Hospital Board where I undertake 20 hours a week mainly from home doing developments in MS Access 2003, 2.0, MS Access 97, VB 5.0 & 6, MS Excel 97-2000 and SQL 7.0 and SQL 2000. For these applications, the data generally comes from an Oracle database A number of VBA addins have been written for Excel for this client. More recently I have developed a datawarehouse in SQL 2000, some MDX queries and ASP pages to access this. I undertake the DBA work on this SQL server and am responsible for all the DTS packages, security and housekeeping tasks. Marlborough Seafoods Limited primary producer, processor and exporter of Mussels, development in PARADOX FOR WINDOWS 5.0 and PARADOX FOR WINDOWS 95 covering all aspects of their business from initial seeding of farm to final sale of product. Internet development in MS ACCESS using MICROSOFT INTERNET INFORMATION SERVER for an integrated Internet system where the pages are created from the MS ACCESS database via an SQL query at the time of the request from the Browser. At the time of producing this system no other sample sites or technical support networks existed. Budgeting and Graph applications for an international company with multiple branches in New Zealand and Australia. Applications were written in VISUAL BASIC 4 and later upgraded to VISUAL BASIC 5.0. All data access was undertaken with SQL to an MS Access database. The graphing functions were undertaken in Excel by querying the content of the MS Access database. Development and support of a Theatre booking system written in VISUAL BASIC 3.0 and an upgrade to VISUAL BASIC 5.0. This system is a multi-user system with a machine on the front desk showing the theatre plan for the show that is being booked. Seats are colour coded to indicate whether they are vacant, reserved or sold. The customer is able to point to the exact seats on the plan that they require. The system undertakes all the booking operations, prints tickets and handles the financial reporting for the ticketing agent and promoters. The theatre plans are fully user configurable. This allows the client to start ticketing for new venues without the need for specialist programming assistance. Development and support of a system to run a Telephone Answer Service company. This involved the design and development of a system for the operators to take the calls and the system then automatically faxes or pages the messages to the client depending on the time of the day and the clients time tabled call clearing method. This was developed using VISUAL BASIC 5.0 and MS Access. Development and support of a system for calculating payments to contractors on completion of jobs for a joinery company. These systems and modules include: Money Market (wholesale) Futures Forward Rate Agreements Retail Deposits Correspondence System Project Control System Delegations Archiving Accounting Interface Control System Corporate Banking Office Diary system The Retail Deposit system was the basis of the Rural Bank's customer deposit service. Due to the nature of the application, security of information was an important development consideration. Interfaces to the Rural Bank accounting systems, the Inland Revenue and Databank were provided. Comprehensive reporting was also an integral part if the system. Along with the standard daily reports and letters, a number of sophisticated analysis reports for use by the marketing department were provided. The Retail Deposit system was developed using prototyping methodologies and was completed in four months. The Forward Rate Agreement system was designed, developed and implemented by Ms Wadsworth. Forward Rate Agreements are similar in operation to Futures transactions and were relatively new to the New Zealand market.
